Gabriel Griffin

POET - AUTHOR

Gabriel Griffin is the founder (in 2001) and organiser of the Poetry on the Lake international Celebration, competition, and events (www.poetryonthelake.org) on Lake Orta, in the Italian Alps, patron: the  British Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy.

She is editor of the annual anthologies and of Poetry on the Lake Journal. 

Past activities include events and seminars on community communication for the Venice Biennale, exhibitions and cultural events in Milan, Venice and Umbria. She is the author of guidebooks, handbooks on the use of video in communities, articles on folklore and local history, and the novel IKON.

She has been adjudicator of Wiltshire Libraries poetry competition, UK; Bill Winter competition, Italy, Guernsey Arts Poems on the Move, Channel Islands; TRYangle, Eastern Light, London; Hungry Hill Writers, Ireland,
